Micah Dennis Among Canadian National Team Invitees

TORONTO – Micah Dennis, an incoming freshman for Oklahoma State's women's basketball team, was among the 16 players invited by Canada Basketball to attend its U19 women's national team training camp at York University from July 2-13.
The 5-9 guard is a product of Cairine Wilson Secondary where she was named the 2019 Girls Canadian Player of the Year after averaging 18.2 points per game, 5.4 assists per contest and 4.0 steals per outing.
Canada is preparing to compete at the FIBA U19 Women's Basketball World Cup 2019 in Bangkok, Thailand, which will take place July 20-28.
The Canadian squad earned a bronze medal at FIBA U19 Women's Basketball World Cup 2017 in Udine and Cividale del Friuli, Italy. The bronze was Canada's first medal in eight appearances at the event since it began in 1985.
