Cowgirls' Eighth World Series Appearance Begins Thursday
May 26, 2019 | Cowgirl Softball
STILLWATER – The No. 13 seed Oklahoma State softball team opens its eighth appearance at the Women's College World Series in Oklahoma City Thursday at 6 p.m. CT against either fifth-seeded Florida or No. 12 seed Tennessee on ESPN2.
This is the first trip to the Women's College World Series for OSU (44-15) since 2011, and the Cowgirls' first appearance under fourth-year head coach Kenny Gajewski.
The Pokes are 11-14 all-time in the WCWS, but have never met either Florida or Tennessee during the season's final weekend. OSU does have recent postseason experience against the Gators, however, as the two sides met three times during the 2017 NCAA Gainesville Regional during Gajewski's second season in charge.
In the second game of the double-elimination tournament, OSU will face either top-seeded Oklahoma (54-3) or No. 8 Alabama (57-8). Additional information will be available after all Super Regionals have concluded.
All-session tickets have already sold out at the ASA Hall of Fame Complex, as well as all single-session tickets except for session 1. A limited number of standing-room only tickets will be made available prior to each sold-out session.
Those tickets will be made available at the stadium on the day of each respective session. Fans can also seek out tickets on NCAA.com/Exchange, the NCAA-approved secondary ticket marketplace.

Oklahoma State is proud to celebrate more than 40 years of rich softball tradition and its 20th season of play at Cowgirl Stadium this year. To purchase your tickets for the 2019 campaign, visit okstate.com/tickets or call the OSU ticket office at 877-ALL-4-OSU.
