Cowgirls Close out Home Slate with UCF and Senior Day Bedlam

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State's 12th-ranked women's tennis team (14-6, 5-1 Big 12) hosts No. 24 UCF on Friday at the Greenwood Tennis Center in its final non-conference bout of the season. The Knights are 18-2 on the season and travel to Stillwater with five wins against ranked opponents this year.

On Sunday, the Pokes host No. 31 Oklahoma at 1 p.m. The Sooners have two conference losses on the year and have the highest ranked singles player in the conference on their roster, Oleksandra Korashvili.

The Cowgirls close out a four-match home stretch in which they've split with the competition to this point, defeating Baylor, 7-0, last weekend before falling to No. 6 Texas, 5-2, in their only Big 12 loss this spring. The Bedlam meeting is also the final regular-season match at the Greenwood Tennis Center for seniors Marina Guinart, Sofia Blanco and Katarina Stresnakova. They will be honored at the conclusion of play.

The Cowgirl tennis team's 10-match win streak was snapped Sunday afternoon in a 5-2 loss to the sixth-ranked Texas Longhorns at the Greenwood Tennis Center. It marks Oklahoma State's first Big 12 loss this season and the first loss overall since their Feb. 10 match against South Carolina.
