LUBBOCK, Texas – Oklahoma State suffered a series sweep at the hands of No. 15 Texas Tech Sunday as the 16^th-ranked Cowboys dropped a 5-2 contest in the series finale at Rip Griffin Park.

The loss was OSU's seventh in row to TTU (29-13, 11-7) as the Cowboys fell to 25-16 on the season and 10-8 in Big 12 Conference play.

For the second-straight game, OSU managed just five hits, while the Cowboys struck out 16 times and also left nine runners stranded on base. Trevor Boone had two hits for the Pokes, while Bryce Carter homered.

Brett Standlee suffered his first loss to fall to 2-1 as struck out five and allowed seven hits. The right-hander kept TTU off the scoreboard for the first six innings, but the Red Raiders tagged him for four runs in the seventh to spell doom for him and the Cowboys.

OSU got on the scoreboard first in the fourth inning when Boone delivered an RBI single through the left side to bring home Andrew Navigato and give the Cowboys a 1-0 advantage.

With Standlee keeping the Red Raiders off the scoreboard, OSU added to its lead in the sixth. This time it was Carter delivering an opposite-field solo home run to put the Pokes up 2-0. The blast was Carter's second round tripper of the season.

OSU held the two-run lead until the seventh. After Standlee hit Cole Stilwell with a pitch to lead off the inning, he retired pinch hitter Dru Baker on a fly out. But Braxton Fulford followed with a double, and Gabe Holt brought home TTU's first run with a single.

Up next, Dylan Neuse smacked his eighth home run of the season, with the three-run shot to left-center field putting the home team on top by a 4-2 margin.

TTU added an insurance in the eighth, scoring on a wild pitch by Brady Basso to push its lead to three.

OSU returns to action Tuesday when the Cowboys travel to Tulsa to take on Oral Roberts. First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m.
