Cowgirl Hunter Seat Event Teams Advance to Quarterfinals

WACO, Texas – Oklahoma State's Hunter Seat event teams advanced to the quarterfinals in their respective event brackets at the NCEA Championship Wednesday at the Extraco Events Center.
The Fences team started the day off for the Cowgirls with a familiar opponent in Baylor.
Abigail Brayman collected the first point of the day for OSU, defeating Gia Gulino, 228-202. Sydnie Ziegler followed suit with a win of her own to put the Cowgirls up, 2-0.
Sophomore Katie Schell clinched the matchup with a 237-221 victory. Lastly, Hannah Janson's 247 was the highest score for OSU, but Baylor's Madison Day matched it for a tie.
Next up for the Fences team is third-seeded SMU Friday at 8:35 a.m.
OSU's Flat team faced off against Sweet Briar College in round one of event competition, the first-ever meeting between the two.
The Cowgirls swept the event, 4-0, thanks to Brayman, Schell, Janson and Katie Pelzel.
OSU's Flat team faces Texas A&M, the three seed, in the quarterfinals at 1:55 p.m. on Friday.
Team competition begins Thursday at 8:35 a.m. with the Cowgirls facing fifth-seeded SMU.
