Three Cowgirls Named Big 12 Riders of the Month

IRVING, Texas – Abigail Brayman, Sarah Miller and Hannah Mitchell of Oklahoma State's fourth-ranked Equestrian team earned Big 12 Rider of the Month honors for March, it was released Tuesday.
Brayman garnered the Equitation on the Flat award thanks to an unscathed 5-0 record on the Flat.
At the Big 12 Championship, Brayman went a combined 4-0 between Flat and Fences on her way to MOP honors in both events. Brayman has a flawless 8-0 record all-time at Big 12 Championship. The sophomore also collected Big 12 Rider of the Month honors in Equitation Over Fences for October.
Team captains Miller and Mitchell swept the Western side of the awards for the Cowgirls.
Miller won both NCEA and Big 12 Horsemanship Rider of the Month after posting a perfect 5-0 record with one MOP in March. She set her season-high (76.5) at Delaware State, then matched it again a day later against South Dakota State.
The senior also went 2-0 at the Big 12 Championship.
Mitchell posted a 4-1 record in March with one MOP en route to earning NCEA and Big 12 Reining Rider of the Month accolades. The junior set a new season-high with a score of 74 against No. 9 Fresno State.
This is the junior's second Big 12 Rider of the Month honor this season. She also received the honor last October for her standout performances.
