Schell Earns Big 12 Honors

IRVING, Texas – Katie Schell of Oklahoma State's sixth-ranked Equestrian team earned Big 12 Rider of the Month honors for February for her standout performances, it was announced today by the conference office.

Schell won the Equitation Over Fences Rider of the Month award after going 3-0 in February with wins against then No. 2 SMU, No. 8 TCU and at No. 5 Baylor.

The sophomore set her season high at fifth-ranked Baylor when she defeated Rachael Davis, 86-78. She never scored below an 80 in March, winning her other points, 85-83, and 80-79. She's won five of her past six matchups in Fences.

This is Schell's first Big 12 Rider of the Month honor.
