Cowgirl Golf In Control With 18 Holes To Play In Hawaii

WAIKOLOA, Hawaii – With 18 holes to play, the Oklahoma State women's golf team holds a 12-stroke lead over the field at the Anuenue Spring Break Classic at the Waikoloa Kings' Course in Wakoloa, Hawaii.
OSU's Lianna Bailey sits in second place at 2-over 146, Han-Hsuan Yu is third at 3-over 147 and Michelle Forsland is fourth at 5-over 149 after 36 holes in Hawaii. Utah Valley's Kaylee Shimizu leads the field at 2-under 142.
The Cowgirls are looking for their first win of the season and the 12th under head coach Courtney Jones. The Cowgirls tee off for the final round at 12:30 p.m. Central on Saturday afternoon.
Cowgirl freshman Sara Camarena is also in the top 10 at 9-over 153.
Emma Whitaker tied for the best round of the day by a Cowgirl after firing an even-par 72, which tied for her best performance at OSU. The sophomore was 3-under par during a bogey-free back nine, and will enter the final round tied for 17th place.
Stephanie Astrup is tied for 22nd place, Chih-min Chen is in 26th place and Faith Hopkins is in 39th place after 36 holes.
