Cowgirls Rise To No. 8 In Latest Rankings

STILLWATER - Oklahoma State's women's tennis team moved up to the No. 8 spot this week in the Oracle/ITA Collegiate Tennis Rankings, which were released today.
This marks the team's 84th consecutive week inside the top 25, a stretch that dates back to March 18, 2014.
In the singles rankings, Katarina Stresnakova checked in at No. 27, while Marina Guinart moved up to No. 102. First-year Cowgirl Bunyawi Thamchaiwat made her first appearance in the rankings, checking in at No. 117.
Sofia Blanco and Catherine Gulihur moved up in the doubles rankings to No. 17. Guinart and Lisa Marie Rioux rose one spot to No. 38. Guinart and Stresnakova appeared in the doubles rankings for the first time this season at No. 68.
The Cowgirls are coming off a weekend with wins over a pair of top-40 opponents in Kansas and Kansas State. This weekend, OSU will be on the road against Iowa State on Friday at 5 p.m. and at West Virginia on Sunday at 10 a.m.
