The Basics
The No. 13 Cowgirl tennis team travels to Birmingham, Ala., this weekend to compete in the annual Blue Gray National Collegiate Tennis Classic. The Pokes are coming off a four-match skid with a banged up lineup and look to get back over .500 on the season at the tournament.
The Matchup
On Friday, the top-seeded Cowgirls begin play against No. 37 Auburn. The Tigers appeared this week in the first set of computer-generated ITA rankings. Auburn has 11 wins to its name this spring and its only loss came at No.32 Kentucky. Also in the Cowgirls' half of the bracket is Big 12 opponent Texas Tech.

Cowgirls in the Rankings
The ITA released its first full set of rankings on Wednesday, with OSU coming in at No. 13. The Cowgirls dropped out of the top 10 for the first time this season but after some time off, look to earn quality wins in Montgomery, Ala., this weekend. In singles, Katarina Stresnakova landed at No. 23 and Marina Guinart is listed at No. 70. Sofia Blanco is ranked in two doubles tandems: No. 17 with freshman Catherine Gulihur and No. 32 with partner Lisa Marie Rioux.
?At the Blue Gray Tournament
The Cowgirls were Blue Gray champs in 2016 when they upended No. 10 Pepperdine in the finals, 1-0, playing only the doubles point. Oklahoma State bounced back from a first round loss to Auburn and defeated Alabama to advance to the title match against the Waves. Kat Adamovic and Vladica Babic picked up the first doubles win for the Cowgirls, and Maria Alvarez and Kelsey Laurente sealed it for the Pokes.
