WACO, Texas – The NCEA has announced its second set of event rankings, its first update since last November.
Oklahoma State's Reining team moved up one spot to No. 2 after defeating SMU's previously second-ranked squad. OSU's Reining team is 5-3 this season.
OSU's horsemanship team remained at No. 6 despite two-straight weeks of 4-1 victories over No. 3 Baylor and No. 5 SMU. Sarah Miller, Harley Huff and Natalie Alcorn have won five-, four- and three-straight matchups, respectively.
For the Hunter Seat events, the Cowgirls elevated one spot in Fences and stayed steady in Flat; OSU checks in at No. 8 in Fences and No. 11 in Flat.
A pair of Cowgirls have sparked OSU's Flat lineup recently. Katie Schell set a season-high in Flat (86) last weekend, while Kathryn Pelzel has won both of her matchups since being inserted into the starting five at Baylor. Pelzel scored an 83 at Baylor and an 84 against SMU.
Abigail Brayman (5-2-1) leads the Fences team after scoring an 82 against SMU en route to her third MOP honor of the season.
OSU also moved up two spots in the NCEA Farnam team rankings to No. 6.
The Cowgirls have their final Big 12 meet Saturday at 10 a.m. when they host No. 8 TCU at Totusek Arena.
