Cowgirl Soccer’s Jones Collects Academic Honor

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Oklahoma State senior Jaci Jones has been named to the 2019 United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division I Women's Scholar All-West Region Second Team.
A nutritional sciences major, Jones carries a 3.49 grade point average and is a three-time Academic All-Big 12 First Team honoree.
Jones, a midfielder from Mustang, Okla., capped her collegiate career by helping lead OSU to a 16-3-3 record as the Cowgirls won the Big 12 Conference regular season championship and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Women's Soccer Championship
A three-year team captain, Jones was named an All-Big 12 and All-Midwest Region performer in 2019 after leading OSU in scoring with 26 points on the strength of seven goals and 12 assists. A starter in every game, Jones tallied three game-winning goals, and her 12 assists ranked in the top 10 in the NCAA in '19 and is the fifth-highest single-season total in Cowgirl history.
To be eligible for United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-Region recognition, student-athletes must meet the following criteria:

- 3.30 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) or better throughout career
- Started more than 50 percent of all games and significantly contribute to their team
- Nominated by head coach of current College Services member institution
- Junior or above in academic standing and, if a transfer student, in second year at school
