Miyamoto And Rioux Will Compete In Main Draw Of ITA All-American Championships

TULSA, Okla. - Two members of the Oklahoma State women's tennis team will begin play in the main draw of the ITA All-American Championships in Tulsa, Okla. on Wednesday.
Ayumi Miyamoto played her way into the main draw of the tournament by winning two matches in the qualifying draw. She defeated Hawaii's Bojana Markovic in the first round, 6-2, 7-6(10). In her second match, the Cowgirl defeated Maty Cancini of Iowa State, 6-1, 7-6(5). She will take on No. 37 Vivian Wolff of Georgia in her first match of the main draw match 12:30 p.m. (CST).
Lisa-Marie Rioux, who is currently ranked No. 43 overall in the national ITA rankings, will take on No. 28 Katya Townsend of Texas A&M at 12:30 p.m. (CST) in her first-round match.
Bunyawi Thamchaiwat defeated Denver's No. 96 Anna Riedmiller of Denver in the first round of the qualifying draw but lost her second match to No. 63 Iuliia Bryzgalova of Pennsylvania. OSU's only double team to make it to the second round of the qualifying draw was the pairing of Dariya Detkovskaya and Thamchaiwat, but they would lose to No. 31 Rebeka Stolmar and Marie Mattel of UCF to keep them from qualifying for the main draw.
