AMES, Iowa – Oklahoma State extended its winning streak to five Sunday as the 15^th-ranked Cowgirls defeated Iowa State, 3-0, at the Cyclone Sports Complex.

With the win, OSU strengthened its spot atop the Big 12 standings as the Cowgirls improved to 5-1-1 in conference play and 12-1-3 overall.

Grace Yochum recorded her first-career hat trick for the Cowgirls, becoming the 12^th OSU player in history to collect three goals in a game. It marked Yochum's third multi-goal game of the year and brought her team-leading season goal total to 11.

Yochum's 11 goals are the most ever by a Cowgirl sophomore, surpassing the nine tallied by Taylor Mathews in 2011. It also marks the most goals by an OSU player since Courtney Dike had 13 in 2013, and Yochum's three multi-goal games are the most of anyone in the program since the three by Dike during the '13 season.

OSU jumped out to an early lead on a Yochum score just 6:44 into the match as she took a pass from Julia Lenhardt and blasted a 20-yard shot off the hands of ISU goalie Georgia Wimmer and into the net.

The Cowgirls took the 1-0 lead into the break, but it took just 78 seconds to double it coming out of the locker room. This time, Yochum took a short pass from Lenhardt following a scramble in the box off a free kick and delivered a 12-yard shot past Wimmer for a 2-0 advantage.

With OSU withstanding the physical play of the Cyclones, who were whistled for 19 fouls and issued four yellow cards, the Cowgirls continued their dominance and capped the win with Yochum's final score.

That goal was set up by an outstanding individual effort from Olyvia Dowell, as she dribbled around and through a trio of ISU defenders and delivered a perfect pass to Yochum, who converted the easy finish to the near post. Dowell's assist was her sixth of the season.

OSU returns to action Friday night when the Cowgirls host Bedlam-rival Oklahoma at Neal Patterson Stadium
