Rioux Logs A Pair Of Wins, And Miyamoto Wins First Consolation Match At ITA All-American Championships

STILLWATER - Lisa-Marie Rioux and Ayumi Miyamoto competed in the ITA All-American Championships on Thursday. Their respective matches were set to take place in Tulsa, Okla., but were moved to Stillwater due to multiple rain delays.
Miyamoto lost her initial match in the main draw of the tournament, so she competed in the consolation bracket on Thursday where she faced Chiara Tomasetti of Northern Arizona. The Cowgirl came out on top against unranked Tomasetti, 6-4, 6-2.
No. 43 Rioux played two matches on Thursday due to rain delays on Wednesday. In her first match, Rioux defeated No. 28 Katya Townsend of Texas A&M, 6-2, 6-4. In her second match of the day, Rioux defeated LSU's Paris Corley, 6-4, 6-3.
Rioux and Miyamoto will both play again on Friday in Tulsa. Rioux will play in the round of 16 in the main draw of the tournament against No. 7 Sara Daavettila at 12:00 p.m. (CST). Miyamoto will play at 12:00 p.m. (CST) against No. 120 Rebeka Mertena.
