Rioux and Stresnakova Advance at ITA All-American Championships

PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. – Cowgirls Lisa Marie Rioux and Katie Stresnakova went undefeated through four matches in the first day at the ITA All-American Championships on Saturday.
Rioux began the day with a dominant win over Florida State's Nandini Das, 6-0, 6-0, and followed the match with another victory, dropping Karina Traxler (SMU), 6-0, 6-1.
Stresnakova took her first match, 6-4, 7-5, from ninth-seeded Cameron Morra of North Carolina. In the next round, she bested Syracuse's Miranda Ramirez, 6-4, 6-3.
Cowgirls lone doubles pair, Sofia Blanco and Marina Guinart, dropped a tightly contested match with Florida State, 8-7 (6).
Rioux and Stresnakova compete tomorrow, each looking to nab one more win and join Guinart in the qualifying draw.
