Cowgirl Tennis Sends Four to ITA All-American Championships

STILLWATER, Okla.– Four Oklahoma State women's tennis players will be in action this weekend in Pacific Palisades, Calif., for the ITA All-American Championships. This event is held for the best returning players in the country, largely based on the previous year's results.
The field begins with a 64-player pre-qualifying tournament. Katarina Stresnakova and Lisa Marie Rioux are set to compete in singles and Stresnakova and Marina Guinart will compete in doubles. After play completion Saturday, eight singles players and eight doubles players will advance to the 64-player qualifying matches.
Guinart is the Cowgirls' entry in qualifying based on her preseason singles ranking, No. 73.
Qualifying action takes place on Tuesday and Wednesday next week, with eight in singles and doubles advancing to the main draw, which begins Thursday.
Sofia Blanco and Rioux are entered in the main doubles draw.
