OSU Student-Athletes Named To Academic All-Big 12 Rookie Team

STILLWATER, Okla. — Oklahoma State was well represented on the Academic All-Big 12 Rookie Team, with 42 student-athletes, including 10 with 4.0 grade point averages, being honored.
Representing OSU were three members of the Cowboy baseball team along with two Cowgirl basketball players, four members of the equestrian squad, one Cowboy football player, two Cowgirl and two Cowboy golfers, four members of both the Cowgirl soccer and softball teams, one Cowboy tennis student-athlete, 16 combined members of the men's and women's track and field squads and three Cowboy wrestlers.
Nominated by each institution's director of student-athlete support services, student-athletes on the Academic All-Big 12 Rookie Team must be new, first-time/incoming freshmen that have completed 24 semester hours of non-remedial coursework and achieved a cumulative GPA of at least 3.00.
Additionally, the student-athlete must have participated in at least one of their team's scheduled contests and must have been a member of their respective teams for their sport's entire NCAA Championship segment.
The Academic All-Big 12 Rookie Team was introduced in the 2012-13 academic year.
