Six Cowgirls Earn All-America Honors

WACO, Texas - Oklahoma State's equestrian team led the Big 12 with six athletes being named National Collegiate Equestrian Association All-Americans, it was announced Wednesday.
Harley Huff was the team's only first-team selection in Horsemanship. The freshman has had an excellent start to her career having recently being named the Big 12 Horsemanship Rider of the Year and to the All-Big 12 Team in Horsemanship. She has an 11-1-1 record with a team-high eight MOP honors, and she was also the MOP of the Big 12 Championship in her discipline.
The Reining team saw three girls capture All-America honors with Ebba Lange and Hannah Mitchell being named to the second-team and Stephanie Helsen being named an honorable mention selection. Lange, a senior, and Mitchell, a sophomore, both posted 10-3 records while helping their discipline be ranked second in the country. Both girls were named to the All-Big 12 team for Reining and they both took home Big 12 Rider of the Month honors. Lange earned the honor in March and Mitchell in February. Mitchell was also the NCEA Rider of the Month for February.
Stephanie Helsen received honorable mention honors for her 8-3 record in the regular season. The freshman was the recipient of one MOP honor and was the October Big 12 Rider of the Month.
Abigail Brayman and Kendall Pedigo were named honorable mention All-Americans for Equitation on the Flat. Brayman, a freshman, posted a 7-2 record in Flat on the season, and her performance at the Big 12 Championship earned her MOP honors for both Flat and Equitation Over Fences. Pedigo went 5-1 in her senior season.
