         THE BASICS
        The No. 3 Cowgirl Equestrian team looks to keep its Big 12 success going at the Big 12 Championships in Springtown, Texas, against No. 5 TCU and No. 7 Baylor.
        ABOUT THE COWGIRLS
        The Cowgirls (8-3, 4-0 Big 12) are led by 19th-year head coach Larry Sanchez, third-year assistant coach Jenna Blumer, third-year assistant coach Sammy Elser and first-year director of operations Kate Chesley.
        ABOUT THE BEARS
        Baylor (5-6, 2-2) finished second in the Big 12 for the regular season. The Bears beat TCU twice and lost to OSU twice.
        ABOUT THE HORNED FROGS
        TCU (7-7, 0-4) finished third in the Big 12 for the regular season. They lost two meets by a margin of one point to both OSU and Baylor.

THE BIG 12 CHAMPIONSHIPThe Cowgirls currently have a Big 12 record five championships. There are nineteen girls currently on the roster who were on the team that won its last championship.
WHO TO WATCH FOR

Hannah Mitchell was last year's NCEA and Big 12 Reining Rider of the year. She has four wins in the last four meets for the Cowgirls. She earned back-to-back MOP honors and was the NCEA and Big 12 Reining Rider of the Month.

Seniors Maggie Drysch and Ebba Lange were named to the NCEA All-American Second Team in 2017. Both riders
have earned MOP honors on the season with Drysch earning her second of the season against SMU and Lange
earning her third one at Baylor.

Senior Carly Barrick has an 8-2 record in Equitation Over Fences with one MOP honor.

Hannah Janson is back after her freshman season where she was given an honorable mention NCEA All-American.
Janson currently was named the Novermber Big 12 Rider of the Month for Fences. She has five total wins, with
MOP honors against Texas A&M and Fresno State. She also earned two MOP honors against West Texas A&M.

Libby Collins went 7-3 in Horsemanship during her junior campaign. She posted an impressive 4-1 record in the fall
season. She recorded a career-high 78 score in the meet against West Texas A&M.

Danielle Cohen returns to the Reining arena after making the All-Big 12 team for Reining.

Julia Purus, Kirsten Chamberland and Kendall Pedigo return for their senior season as three of the team's six captains.

Purus has put together a solid senior season that has seen her take home four MOP honors in four of her five wins.

Harley Huff is the October NCEA and Big 12 October Rider of the Month for Horsemanship. She leads the team with
eight MOP honors. She has posted a 9-1-1 record in her first season.

Stephanie Helsen is the October Big 12 Rider of the Month for Reining. She is a remarkable 8-3 on the season so far.

Abigail Brayman made her Cowgirl debut against SMU and earned MOP honors in Equitation over Fences. She
also earned MOP honors against TCU and Auburn.

Paige Kemper has gone 3-1 in the season with all three of her wins coming in the fall.
NEW FACES
The Cowgirls' added 15 new riders to the roster for the 2017-18 season. Of those 14, two are transfers from TCU. The new crop of Cowgirl talent will be looking to add another title to the Oklahoma State Equestrian program.
