Cowgirl Golf Opens Play At Darius Rucker Intercollegiate

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. – Only 18 strokes separate the Oklahoma State women's golf team from the leaders after 18 holes of the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate at Long Cove Golf Club.
The Cowgirls carded a 20-over par 284 and are tied for 17th place. Two-time defending champion Alabama is 2-over par and in the lead after 18 holes. Olivia Mehaffey of Arizona State is atop the individual leaderboard at 5 under 66.
Alexis Sadeghy led the Cowgirls with a 4 over 75 and sits tied for 42nd after the opening round. The senior shot par on 15 of the 18 holes she played on Friday.
Cowgirls Kenzie Neisen and Stephanie Astrup both posted 5-over par are tied for 53rd place on the leaderboard. Junior Chih-Min Chen is tied for 67th and shot 6-over par.
Emma Broze shot 8-over par in her first round and will enter the second round tied for 82nd place.
The Cowgirls will tee off the second round at 7:30 a.m. Central.
