STILLWATER – Oklahoma State suffered its second loss of the season Wednesday, dropping a 12-6 contest to Little Rock at Allie P. Reynolds Stadium.

The loss was the first at home for the Cowboys this season and also snapped their four-game winning streak as they fell to 5-2 on the year.

The Trojans (5-4) had 17 hits in the contest and jumped out to a 5-0 lead against starter Brady Basso and reliever Ben Leeper before OSU responded in the bottom of the fourth inning.

Andrew Rosa continued his hot hitting and led off the inning with double that was followed by a walk to Colin Simpson. Up next, Matt Kroon drove in OSU's first run with a single.

Jon Littell capped off the frame with a three-run home run off the batter's eye in center field to bring the Cowboys within one at 5-4. Littell has homered in two of his past three games.

However, Little Rock's Troy Alexander would match Littell's home run with one of his own in the top of the fifth. Alexander's three run homer pushed the Trojans lead back to five, at 9-4.

Rosa ended the inning with a web gem in center field, leaping and diving to make a spectacular catch in his second career start in center.

First baseman Christian Funk hit his first-career home run as a Cowboy in the bottom of the eighth to bring OSU to within four at 10-6 before Little Rock added two more runs in its final at bat to seal the win.

Oklahoma State will travel to Phoenix for a three-game road series against Arizona State this weekend. Friday's opener, as well as Saturday's contest, are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. (CST) starts; Sunday's finale is set for 1 p.m. (CST).
