CATHEDRAL CITY, Calif. – The No. 18/16 Oklahoma State softball team fell in its final contest at the 2018 Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic, dropping a tight 3-1 contest to UC Davis on Saturday.

OSU (9-6) finishes the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic with a 1-4 record.

The Cowgirls opened the scoring Saturday, as Randee O'Donnell scored from second on Taylor Lynch's bloop single to right field. Lynch's single was her seventh hit of the tournament and extended her hitting streak to seven consecutive games.

After OSU cracked open the scoring, UC Davis responded with a two-run home run to right field that gave the Aggies a 2-1 lead. UCD tacked on one more run in the home half of the sixth to cap off its victory.
