TULSA, Okla. (AP) — Oklahoma State lost to Tulsa, 74-71, on Wednesday night at the Donald W. Reynolds Center.
The Cowboys cut a 61-50 deficit to 63-61 with 1:02 left. OSU (4-4) made three 3-pointers in the final minute to keep the pressure on the Golden Hurricane (6-3).
Cameron McGriff made a 3-pointer for the Cowboys with 3.4 seconds left. The Cowboys got the ball back with 3.3 seconds remaining with a chance to tie, but OSU's final shot came up short.
Mike Cunningham had 14 points on six made field goals. Lindy Waters and Thomas Dziagwa each had 12 for the Cowboys. Dziagwa made four 3-pointers again, pushing his season total to 28 made 3-pointers.
The Cowboys had a 39-32 advantage on the boards and blocked seven shots compared to the Golden Hurricane's zero.
Yor Anei was responsible for four of those blocks, bringing his season total to 23. He is averaging almost three blocks per contest over eight games.
OSU wrapped up a five-game streak away from Gallagher-Iba Arena and will return home for a matchup against Houston at 3 p.m. on Saturday in Stillwater.
