STILLWATER—The Oklahoma State men's basketball team broke a four-game losing streak with a victory, 82-73, against Central Arkansas on Friday in Gallagher-Iba Arena
The Cowboys (5-6) and Bears (4-8) traded baskets throughout the early goings, but OSU took control of the game at the 5:36 mark when the Cowboys went on a 20-7 run, giving them a 10 point lead going into the half.
In the second half, Central Arkansas made small runs to get closer to the Cowboys, but OSU answered every run and maintained its lead until the end of the game.
Curtis Jones made a splash in his Gallagher-Iba Arena debut. He scored 23 points and made five 3-pointers, which were both career-high marks for the junior. Jones' performance was the third 20-point game from a Cowboy this season.
Lindy Waters also impressed in the Cowboys' victorious effort. He earned his first career double-double, scoring 10 points and collecting 11 rebounds.
Cameron McGriff also added a double-figure scoring effort, putting up 17 points. McGriff was a perfect 6-for-6 from the free-throw line.
Thomas Dziagwa made three 3-point shots in Friday's contest. With those makes, Dziagwa moved into 22nd place on the OSU career list for 3-point shots made.
The Cowboys move to 4-0 all time against the Bears. All four of those matchups have come inside Gallagher-Iba Arena.
