IRVING, Texas – Hannah Mitchell of Oklahoma State's eighth-ranked equestrian team earned Big 12 Rider of the Month honors for October for her standout performances, it was released Thursday by the conference office.
Mitchell, a team captain, collected the Big 12 Reining Rider of the Month award. She went undefeated in the month of October, posting a 3-0 mark.
"Hannah is everything that I'd want in a team captain," said OSU head coach Larry Sanchez. "She's a hard worker, and she's always got a great attitude. For her to be as successful as she is in the arena only makes it that much more special."
Mitchell's point against Baylor clinched a comeback win over the third-ranked Bears en route to her earning MOP honors for the meet.
This is Mitchell's fourth career Big 12 Rider of the Month award in Reining. She also earned NCEA Rider of the Month honors for October and was the 2017 Big 12 Reining Rider of the Year.
