Cowgirls Remain Undefeated With Win Over Texas State

STILLWATER, Okla. — Oklahoma State's women's basketball team ran its record to 6-0 with a 66-55 win over Texas State on Friday evening in front of 1,657 fans inside Gallagher-Iba Arena.
The Cowgirls got nine first-quarter points from sophomore Braxtin Miller to lead 14-12 through one. The OSU defense held the Bobcats (3-4) to six points in the second period en route to a 25-18 lead.
OSU extended to a 15-point lead in the third quarter behind a 14-point outburst in the period by sophomore Vivian Gray. However, Texas State used a 7-0 run to start the fourth and get within five at 48-43.
Sophomore Jaden Hobbs answered with a pair of treys on consecutive possessions to push the margin back to double figures.
Gray led all scorers with 25 points, while Miller finished with 15 points, nine rebounds, eight assists and two steals. Hobbs connected on four of her seven 3-point attempts and finished with 14 points.
The Cowgirls will be back in action on Sunday at 3 p.m. when they host No. 11 Tennessee.
