MINNEAPOLIS—The Oklahoma State men's basketball team lost to Minnesota, 83-76, at U.S. Bank Stadium on Friday night.
The Cowboys' (4-3) were down by 18 points in the second half, but fought back and cut the lead all the way down to four in the late stages of the game. They went on a 12-0 run late in the second half to pressure Minnesota (6-1).
Lindy Waters III led the Cowboys' scoring with 18 points. He knocked down four 3-pointers, a mark that tied his career best, and also collected eight rebounds. Waters' started his 50th game in the matchup against the Golden Gophers.
Michael Weathers and Mike Cunningham added firepower off the bench. Weathers put up 17 points on six made shots and Cunningham scored 12 points.
Yor Anei and Cam McGriff both put up solid numbers in defensive stat categories. McGriff grabbed six rebounds and had four steals. Anei had four rebounds and four blocks to go along with a perfect 2-for-2 shooting night.
