Cowgirl Soccer Adds Two

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State inked a pair of attacking players to its 2019 recruiting class today, it was announced by Cowgirl head coach Colin Carmichael.
Joining the OSU program next season as freshmen are Olyvia Dowell, a midfielder/forward from Longview, Texas, and Peyton Vincze, a forward from Andover, Kansas.
"Our goal coming into this class as we projected ahead a few years ago was trying to replace two very good attacking players with the losses of Haley (Woodard) and Marlo (Zoller)," Carmichael said. "We're excited because we believe we were able to do that. We've brought two very dynamic kids who can score and create goals, and they've both competed and flourished at a very high level. We think Peyton and Olivia are two players that can come in immediately and make an impact in the Big 12."
Olyvia Dowell, MF/F, Longview, Texas (Spring Hill HS/Sting Dallas SC) – A star for Sting Dallas at the ECNL level, Dowell recorded 40 goals and 31 assists for coach Tatu Pecorari's club over the last three seasons.
Dowell attended ECNL National Camp each of the last three years and was named to the Best XI at the ECNL National Training Camp in 2017. She led Sting to ECNL Regionals in 2017 and a berth in ECNL Nationals in 2018.
Listed as a three-star recruit by TopDrawerSoccer.com, Dowell is also considered the 16th-best player in the Texas Region by TDS.com.
Carmichael on Dowell: "Olyvia plays for one of the best clubs in the country in Sting Dallas and is one of their top players. She's received a lot of accolades and been in the player development program for several years and been identified as one of the best players in ECNL National Camp the last couple of years. She's very good on the dribble, she's dangerous in the attack, she knows how to score goals and she's good at creating for others. I think Olyvia is going to be a very, very good player at our level."
Peyton Vincze, F, Andover, Kan. (Andover Central HS/Oklahoma Energy FC/Wales National Team) – A member of Wales Senior National Team, Vincze has also starred at the club level to go along with her international experience.
After playing for the Wales U-17 and U-19 National Teams, Vincze was selected to the Wales Senior National Team in 2017 and has earned four caps, competing against England and Russia in World Cup qualifying games and in friendlies vs. the Netherlands and Portugal.
In 2017, Vincze was named the Football Association of Wales Young Player of the Year.
Vincze is also a current standout for Oklahoma Energy FC after previously competing for FC Wichita; she has led OEFC to three state championships.
Vincze is listed as the 15th-best player in the South Region by TopDrawerSoccer.com.
Carmichael on Vincze: "Peyton is an athletic, aggressive, hard-working forward who leads the line by herself. She's strong, she's a handful who never quits and she's a tireless worker who is constantly looking to improve. She has an eye for goal, and that caught our attention early in the recruiting process. She's gotten better since she committed here as we've continued to track her. And being a part of the Wales National Team, anytime you're 16-, 17-years old and playing with the full national team in European and World Cup qualifiers, you're doing a lot of great things. Being in that environment is going to more than get her ready for what she's going to experience in college."
