STILLWATER, Okla. — Oklahoma State's women's basketball team routed UC Riverside 76-51 on Sunday in front of 1,597 fans inside Gallagher-Iba Arena to improve to 2-0 on the season.
The Cowgirls were able to force 12 turnovers and held the Highlanders to 28 percent from the field in the first half. Oklahoma State capped the second quarter off by going on a 10-0 run in the last 1:51 to boost the lead to 37-19.
Sophomore Braxton Miller converted an old-fashioned 3-point play, while freshman Vivian Gray knocked down a pair of threes in the last two minuets of the third to help OSU pull away.
Starting off the fourth quarter with a 3-pointer on the left wing, senior LaTashia Jones tallied seven points in the quarter and finished with her second double-double of the season with 13 points and 11 rebounds.
Gray was a perfect 3-for-3 from behind the arc and finished with 15 points to go along with nine boards. Miller led all scorers with 19 points shooting 41 percent from the field and 6-6 from the charity stripe.
OSU grabbed 23 offensive rebounds on the day and was able to score 21 second-chance points. The bench also came up big for the Cowgirls outscoring the Highlander's 25-2.
