STILLWATER – Oklahoma State remained perfect on the young season with a 4-1 win over UMKC Sunday afternoon at the Cowgirl Soccer Complex.

The Cowgirls, now 2-0-0 on the season, scored each of their goals in the opening 30 minutes en route to the win as four different OSU players found the back of the net, two of those for the first time in their careers.

Once again, OSU controlled the match statistically, outshooting the Kangaroos (0-2-0) by a 17-6 margin, with eight of those shots on frame. The Cowgirls also recorded an 8-3 edge on corner kicks and scored a pair of goals off those set pieces.

The first of OSU's scores would come off a corner kick as Anna Beffer delivered a ball into the box that Julia Lenhardt rose to head into the net to give the Cowgirls a 1-0 lead in the 13^th minute.

Just over eight minutes later, the Cowgirls doubled their lead. Once again it was Beffer with an assist as she set up Marlo Zoller, who drilled a shot to the far post from just outside the top corner of the box.

OSU capped its stellar first half by notching a pair of goals in a two-minute span. In the 28^th minute, it was Coumba Sow on the receiving end of a Jaci Jones corner kick as the junior midfielder headed one past UMKC keeper Anna Lillig for her first-career goal.

The 30^th minute saw the first goal of sophomore Claire Gantzer's career as she took a cross into the box from Zoller and delivered it into the net from eight-yards out.

Tanya de Souza kept the Roos off the scoreboard in the opening half, recording a save on one of UMKC's four shots, before Michela Ongaro took over keeper duties for the final 45 minutes and also recorded a save.

UMKC's lone goal came in the 51^st minute when Abby Small headed a ball to the far post on a cross from Reighan Childers.

OSU returns to action Friday with its first road contest of the season as they travel to Norman to take on Bedlam-rival Oklahoma in a non-conference showdown set for a 7 p.m. kickoff.
