What made you want to come to OSU?
I came to OSU because I was raised a diehard Cowboys fan. Larry (Sanchez) was also a huge factor in my decision. He is an incredible coach and person, and the way he runs his team was something I really liked.
What is your favorite OSU tradition? Why?
My favorite OSU tradition is for sure Homecoming and Hoops because it is one of the first times we get to see our basketball teams that year. And it is always so fun to be in GIA when it is packed and loud.
What is your favorite competition moment?
My favorite competition moment is hands down wining Big 12s my sophomore year. That was first year I got to compete, and the fact that we won was incredible.
Do you have any pre-match rituals?
Well I always wear socks with grilled cheese sandwiches on them. So that's the first thing. Also, if we are traveling I usually end up dancing on the bus with fellow senior Kirsten Chamberland on our way to the place we are competing.
What is your favorite event to compete in?
My favorite event is the horsemanship.
What's something interesting about yourself that not many people know?
I used to be deathly afraid of horses. I'd cry every time I got near one.
Did you play any other sports in high school?
I did not play any other sports because I traveled so much for horse shows. I was hardly ever at school.
What is your proudest sports moment?
My proudest moment is for sure being selected to represent OSU at the AQHA Collegiate Horsemanship Challenge where I made it to the finals and finished third. That had been a dream of mine for years and making it that far is for sure something I am most proud of.
What are your favorite professional sports teams?
My favorite professional sports teams are the Thunder and the Rangers. I love baseball.
What are your goals for next year?
My goal for this next year, since it is my senior year, is to not regret anything in the arena. I want to give my all in every ride and be able to say there was nothing more I could have done. I also want to lead my team and bring us closer together because I believe that when a team is unified they go farther than a team that is not. It's sadly my last year so I want to make it my best one yet.
