Six Cowgirls Represented in Final ITA Individual Rankings

STILLWATER – Six members of the Oklahoma State women's tennis team made appearances in the final Intercollegiate Tennis Association final singles and doubles rankings released on Wednesday. Five Cowgirls are represented in singles, while three Cowgirl doubles teams are ranked as well.
In singles, senior Viktoriya Lushkova earns the team-high ranking, ending her career at No. 10 after a 2017 campaign that saw the Ukraine native go 25-11 overall with a 14-6 dual record and 12 wins over ranked opponents.
Katarina Adamovic is slotted at No. 54 after a 21-9 senior season. Following closely after Adamovic is freshman Aliona Bolsova, who earns a No . 56 ranking with her team-high 31 wins on the season.
Junior Vladica Babic winds down her season at No. 80 after posting a 20-11 overall mark this season. Senior Carla Tur Mari rounds out the Cowgirls ranked in singles, wrapping up her career ranked No. 106 to go along with a 14-5 overall record.
Babic and Tur Mari lead the Cowgirls in doubles, coming in at No. 18 in the final rankings after a 23-7 overall mark and a 14-6 dual record competing in the No. 1 spot for the Pokes.
Bolsova and sophomore Sofia Blanco round out the OSU doubles teams that regularly saw action in the spring at No. 43. Blanco and Bolsova were the winningest tandem in the Cowgirl lineup this season, racking up 23 wins. Babic and Adamovic are ranked No. 40, despite only playing once in the spring season.
As a team, the Cowgirls wrapped up the successful 2017 season at 25-6 with their second-straight regular season Big 12 title and a second trip to the national quarterfinals in as many seasons. OSU also produced an All-American for the fourth consecutive season, as Lushkova became the first Cowgirl in school history to earn three singles All-America honors.
