Four Cowgirls Set for NCAA Individual Championships

ATHENS, Ga. – Four members of the Oklahoma State women's tennis teams will compete in the NCAA Individual Tennis Championships beginning Wednesday at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex. Seniors Katarina Adamovic and Viktoriya Lushkova will compete in the singles draw, while the Cowgirl tandem of senior Carla Tur Mari and junior Vladica Babic are set to play in doubles.

Seeded eighth overall, Lushkova will match up with Florida's Kourtney Keegan in her first round singles match Wednesday at 5 p.m. ET. With a win, the Cowgirl senior will advance to play the winner of North Carolina's Jessie Aney and Michigan's Kate Fahey on Thursday.

Adamovic will take on No. 10 Karla Popovic of California in the round of 64 on Wednesday at 4 p.m. ET. To clinch her second career All-America recognition, Adamovic will need to defeat Popovic, and then the winner of South Carolina's Ingrid Gamarra Martins and Stanford's Taylor Davidson in the round of 32 on Thursday.

In the doubles round of 32, Tur Mari and Babic will match up with the top-seeded doubles team of Vanderbilt's Emily Smith and Astra Sharma on Thursday at a time to be released later. Both Cowgirls will be aiming for their first career All-America honor, and will need to defeat the Vanderbilt duo, followed by the winner of Michigan's Kate Fahey and Alex Najarian, and Florida's Brooke Austin and Kourtney Keegan.
