Cowgirl Golf Within Striking Distance With 18 To Play At Big 12s

SAN ANTONIO, Texas—The Oklahoma State women's golf team will enter Sunday's final round within striking distance of their record-setting 10th Big 12 title.
Conditions at The Dominion Country Club turned chilly and blustery on Saturday, but the Cowgirls managed to hold on to second place at the Big 12 Championships thanks to a round of 12-over 300. After 36 holes, OSU is at 12-over 594, which is just three strokes behind Texas for the lead.
Including last year's record-setting victory, Oklahoma State has won nine Big 12 championships, which is twice as many as any other current league member and more than all the other current schools combined.
Cowgirl Kenzie Neisen managed the conditions as well as anyone, which helped her move up two spots on the leaderboard into tie for seventh place at 4-over 148.
Linnea Johansson was 4-over on the day, and will enter the final 18 holes in a tie for 17th place at 6-over 150.
Maddie McCrary carded four birdies to jump up the leaderboard nine places with a 1-over 73 for round two. She is tied for 22nd place overall with a 7-over 151. Chih-Min Chen is also tied for 22nd place.
Alexis Sadeghy is tied for 30th place at 11-over 155.
The Cowgirls will once again be in the final pairings for Sunday's final 18 holes. OSU will begin teeing off at 10 a.m.
