Cowgirl Golf In Second Place After 36 Holes In Baton Rouge

BATON ROUGE, La.— Faced with impending weather, the Oklahoma State women's golf team played the first two rounds of the LSU Tiger Golf Classic on Friday and will enter Sunday's final round tied for second place with an 8-over 584.
Cowgirls Linnea Johansson and Chi-Min Chen are both tied for eighth place with 1-over 145. Johansson shot a 2-under 70 in the second round, which sprung her up the leaderboard 24 places.
With six birdies in the second round, Cowgirl Kenzie Neisen tied for 13th place with a 3-over 147, while Maddie McCrary shot a 4-over 148 for the day and is tied for 17th place.
Duke held the lead for both rounds and ended the day with a 5-under 571. Duke's own Leona Maguire is leading the individual leaderboard with a 9-under 135.
Emma Broze shot a 6-over 150 to tie her for 25th place, and Emma Broze is tied for 44th place after carding a 10-over 154.
The forecast calls for rain in Baton Rouge all day on Saturday, so the Cowgirls will take the day off and finish up the final 18 holes beginning Sunday at 8:30 a.m.
