Rogers Earns Second Big 12 Honor of the Season

STILLWATER – For the second time this season, Oklahoma State wrestler Chandler Rogers has been named Big 12 Co-Wrestler of the Week, the league announced Monday. Rogers helped the Cowboys to a perfect 2-0 Big 12 weekend with a couple of ranked wins, including a pin of 10th-ranked Yoanse Mejias of Oklahoma.

On Friday, Rogers, defeated No. 16 Branson Ashworth, 10-6, to help OSU to a 32-3 victory over Wyoming. Sunday, the Cowboy recorded his second top-10 pin of the season over Mejias as he decked the Sooner in 5:31 to clinch the eventual 37-3 Bedlam win for OSU. Rogers is now 17-4 on the season with six wins over ranked opponents and seven falls.

The honor marks the seventh time this year that an OSU grappler has earned the Big 12 Weekly Honor. Other Cowboys to earn the accolade this season include Kaid Brock, Boo Lewallen, Austin Schafer and Jacobe Smith.
