Two Cowgirls Named Big 12 Riders of the Month

STILLWATER – The Oklahoma State Equestrian freshman duo of Stephanie Helsen and Harley Huff has earned Big 12 Conference October Rider of the Month awards, it was announced by the league office today.

Helsen won the award for Reining, while Huff claimed honors for Horsemanship. Both Cowgirls posted 3-0 records over OSU's first three meets of the season.

Huff was also the recipient of the NCEA October Rider of the Month for Horsemanship. She won back-to-back MOPs for her 75.5-73 win against Baylor and her 75-70 win against SMU and also claimed a 69-68 victory in the meet against South Carolina.

Helsen won 71.5-70.5 against Baylor and 68.5-67.5 against SMU. She earned an MOP in the team's last meet against South Carolina with a 67.5-60 triumph.
