Including this season, OSU has reached the top 15 of the A.P. poll at some point in nine of the past 10 seasons and the top 10 of the A.P. poll in eight of the last 10 seasons. The Series
Saturday's game marks the 64th meeting between the Cowboys and the Wildcats all-time, and the eighth consecutive year the teams have met. Oklahoma State leads the series, 39-24, and also holds a 21-9 advantage in Stillwater. OSU has won the last two meetings and seven of the last 10. The Cowboys have also won the last five times the teams have met in Boone Pickens Stadium. OSU won last year's meeting, 43-37, in Manhattan, and won the last game in Stillwater, 36-34, in 2015. Mike Gundy holds a 6-3 record against Kansas State, while Bill Snyder is 11-7 against Oklahoma State.
Oklahoma State From a Distance
Oklahoma State is 8-2 on the year and enters Saturday's game fresh off a 49-42 win at No. 24 Iowa State. The Cowboys are the only team in the nation with a 6-0 road record this season. OSU possesses the nation's No. 2 offense in both yardage per game (573.7) and points per game (45.7), as well as the No. 2 passing offense (378.9) in college football. Quarterback Mason Rudolph leads the nation in passing yards and passing yards per game and is second in points responsible for. He's also among the national leaders in every important passing statistic. He's thrown for more than 300 yards in nine of his last 11 games and recently broke Mike Gundy's OSU record for wins as a starting QB. Rudolph's top target James Washington leads all Power Five players with 1,158 receiving yards and he's hit the 100-yard mark in five of his last eight games. On top of that, running back Justice Hill is the Big 12's leading rusher and No. 14 nationally with 1,198 yards. Hill has the hot hand lately, as he's hit 100 yards in six of his last seven games, including a career-best 228-yard masterpiece against Oklahoma. With Rudolph, Hill and Washington, Oklahoma State is the only Power Five team in the nation with a 3,000-yard passer, a 1,000-yard rusher and a 1,000-yard receiver this season. The Cowboy defense has also had its moments this season - most recently an A.J. Green interception in the end zone last week to seal the win at ISU. The Cowboys have intercepted 15 passes this year to lead the league and rank No. 7 in the country. Green has led the way with four picks to rank ninth in FBS.

The Wildcats kicked off November with an overtime win at Texas Tech, and last week fell just short in their upset bid against No. 23 West Virginia, 28-23. Prior to that, KSU defeated Kansas, Baylor, Charlotte and Central Arkansas earlier this season.       Quarterback Skylar Thompson made his first career start for the Wildcats last week against the Mountaineers, playing in place of previous starters Jesse Ertz and Alex Delton. Even with the changes at quarterback, KSU has scored at least 30 points in seven games this season. The defense's strong points have come in the red zone (11th in FBS), turnover margin (12th in FBS) and rushing yards allowed (24th in FBS).
