STILLWATER — In Monday's United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association week four regional rankings, the Oklahoma State men's cross country squad stayed atop the Midwest region for the 57th-consecutive week.
That remains the longest active streak in the country.
The Cowgirls dropped from third to fourth in the region, behind Iowa State, Minnesota and Missouri.
The men's team is coming off its eighth-straight Cowboy Jamboree title, edging out Ole Miss by two points, 42-44.
Senior Sylvester Barus won his second Jamboree crown with OSU, and his fourth overall, with senior Hassan Abdi finishing second.
The Cowgirls finished fourth in the Jamboree, but saw potential from sophomore Michelle Magnani, who finished 16th and senior Molly Sughroue, who finished 19th.
The teams will get a short break and return to action on Oct. 13 in University Park, Pennsylvania
