PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. – The No. 5 Oklahoma State women's golf team finished the first round of the Stanford Intercollegiate at 16-over 284, and will enter Tuesday's second round at Poppy Hills Golf Club in 13th place.

With 36 holes to play, OSU is just 11 strokes behind third-place Washington and 14 behind second place UCLA. Host Stanford leads the event at 4-under par 280.

Junior Chih-Min Chen leads the way for the Cowgirls at 2-over par 73. The 2016 Big 12 Freshman of the Year was able to knock in three birdies on the day and is currently tied for the 20th spot on the leaderboard.

Cowgirl senior Kenzie Neisen carded a 4-over par to end her first round tied for 34th, while teammates Stephanie Astrup and Emma Broze finished the day both 5-over par and tied for 42nd.

The Cowgirls will tee off the second round of the Stanford Intercollegiate at 10:55 a.m. Central on Tuesday.
