Welcome to Get To Know Your Cowgirls, where each week we'll introduce a new member of the Oklahoma State Softball program leading up to the 2017 season.
First up, Logan Simunek.
Nickname: Lo
Hometown: Piedmont, Oklahoma
High School: Piedmont High School
Started playing softball: At age 7
Favorite thing about Oklahoma State: "It feels like home away from home."
Simunek, a freshman, joins the Cowgirls after a standout career at Piedmont High School. The Oklahoma native is a right-handed pitcher with what head coach Kenny Gajewski calls a, "make you miss pitch."She got to work right away in the fall exhibition games, posting a 1-0 record in five games with nine innings of work while striking out nine.
While at Oklahoma State, Simunek will major in Human nutrition / premedical sciences.
