Bases Loaded: Cowgirls Set to Welcome Alumni Back Home

1st Base: Cowgirls Open Fall Schedule with 14-3 Win Over SNU
Last week was highlighted with a 14-3 win over SNU at Cowgirl Stadium to start the 2016 fall schedule. The Cowgirls were led by Senior Kristin Reasnor, who blasted a towering three-run home run in the first inning to give Oklahoma State the 4-0 lead it wouldn't give up. Reasnor finished 3-for-5 with three RBIs to help lead the Cowgirls to victory. With the win, Oklahoma State moved to 126-12-2 in fall games since 2000, and 5-0 under coach Kenny Gajewski.
2nd Base: Newcomers Shine in Cowgirl Debut
All nine of Oklahoma State's newcomers saw action on Friday against the Crimson Storm, with many making a big impact in the winning effort. Junior Alex Edinger led the way, going 3-for-5 with two RBIs, including an impressive triple that showcased her speed while junior Rylee Bayless, the back-to-back NJCAA Player of the Year, finished 2-for-5 with two RBIs. Alongside Edinger and Bayless, freshman Shayna Byers finished 2-for-2 with two RBIs to round off the impressive showing for the newcomers. Â
3rd Base: Whitehorn Returns with Win
After missing last season due to injury, junior Whitney Whitehorn returned to action on Friday and earned the win in three innings of action. Whitehorn didn't allow a hit and struck out two in her first start since the 2015 season.
Home: What's Next
The Cowgirls return to action this Friday when they play host to Cowley County. First pitch is set for 6 p.m. with free admission. The weekend is also Oklahoma State's alumni weekend, when the Cowgirls welcome home a plethora of former players.
