Qualifying Draw Released for Stillwater Pro Tennis Classic

STILLWATER – The singles qualifying draw for Sunday's qualifying round of the Stillwater Pro Tennis Classic was released Saturday night. Action at the event is set to get underway Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m.

The qualifying draw features three current Cowgirls, as well as former Cowgirl Kelsey Laurente.

Oklahoma State fans will get their first in-person look at Lena Ruppert, Sofia Blanco and Aliona Bolsova Sunday. Blanco is matched up with Sofya Zhuk of Russia in the first round of qualifying to open the day at 9:30. Bolsova, who received a wild card bid will face American Maria Shishkina in her opening round. Ruppert will take on Emily Ory of the United States.

Sophomore Katarina Stresnakova and senior Carla Tur Mari also aim to qualify for the tournament's main draw. Stresnakova will match up with Daniella Roldan, while Tur Mari is set to face Russia's Katie Poluta at 9:30. Laurente will take on Alena Sergeychik of Russia to open the week.

Former Stanford standout Carol Zhao headlines the qualifying draw as the top seed after receiving a wild card bid. Zhao was the Cardinal's top singles player in 2016, and was part of the NCAA Championship team that faced the Cowgirls in the national title match.

Two-time NCAA Champion Danielle Collins is matched up with former Syracuse standout Aleah Marrow. Oklahoma native Lindsey Lee-Waters will face off with former UCLA All-American Catherine Harrison in one of the key matches of the day.

Texas Longhorns Bianca and Anna Turati also appear in the qualifying draw, along with ninth-seeded Gabriela Talaba of Texas Tech.
