Cowgirls Set To Begin Fall Schedule
September 21, 2016 | Cowgirl Softball
STILLWATER---- Oklahoma State softball is set to begin its fall slate Friday when it plays host to SNU at Cowgirl Stadium.
First pitch is set for 6 p.m. with free admission.
"For us right now these games are good," Coach Kenny Gajewski said. "It gives us someone different than our own kids to face. I think it's big."
Oklahoma State returns 12 Cowgirls from last season's team that reached the postseason for the first time since 2011 and welcomes nine new players to Cowgirl Stadium.
"I think the fall is very important," Taylor Lynch said. "Seeing where everyone is going to fit and finding everyone's role for the season. I think fall helps that a lot and of course seeing live pitching is good too."
The will play host to six other opponents this fall, including the USSSA Pride of the National Pro Fastpitch League and Arkansas to conclude the fall schedule.
