Alan Bratton Named Dave Williams Finalist

EUGENE, Ore. — Oklahoma State head coach Alan Bratton has been named a Division I finalist for the Dave Williams National Coach of the Year Award it was announced today by the Golf Coaches Association of America.
The Williams Award honors the national coach of the year in Division I men's golf.
The five finalists are Bratton, John Fields of Texas, Georgia's Chris Haack, Conrad Ray of Stanford and Illinois' Mike Small. If a team wins the NCAA Championship and its coach was not previously named a finalist for the Dave Williams Award that coach will be added for coach of the year consideration.
Bratton has led Oklahoma State to four wins this season, including a 19-shot victory at the NCAA Stillwater Regional. Additionally, the Cowboys picked up wins at The Carmel Cup to open the fall, the John Hayt Collegiate in February and the Aggie Invitational in April.
The Cowboys were also runner-up on three occasions. Oklahoma State placed in the top five in 10 of 12 events.
Individually, OSU has produced five medalists, including Big 12 champion Stratton Nolen and NCAA Regional winner Kristoffer Ventura.
