Six Cowgirls Named To Big 12 Tennis All-Tournament Team

STILLWATER, Okla. – After winning its first Big 12 Championship in 13 years, Oklahoma State's women's tennis team had six members named to the Big 12 All-Tournament Team as selected by league coaches, the league office announced on Wednesday.
Viktoriya Lushkova was named the tournament's Most Outstanding Performer after going undefeated on the weekend in both singles and doubles.
Vladica Babic was named to the All-Tournament team at the No. 2 position after going undefeated in singles play. Babic clinched the championship match against Texas Tech on Sunday.
Kelsey Laurente was the third Cowgirl to earn the honor in singles. Laurente earned two singles wins over the weekend.
Katarina Stresnakova made the team at the No. 5 position after returning to action to play in her first two matches since April 9.
Carla Tur Mari rounded out the singles honors for the Cowgirls, as the sophomore picked up two singles victories against Kansas State and Kansas.
Two Cowgirl doubles pairings earned All-Tournament honors after victories against the Wildcats and Jayhawks.
Lushkova and Tur Mari outscored opponents 12-2 in doubles during the tournament and clinched the doubles point for the Cowgirls in the semifinal match against Kansas.
Katarina Adamovic and Babic earned the nod at the No. 3 position after earning a victory due forfeit against the Jayhawks. The Cowgirl duo performed the comeback of the tournament against the Red Raiders, as they fought back from being down 5-3 and facing match point against Texas Tech. Adamovic and Babic pulled out a 7-5 victory to secure the doubles point, which eventually led to a 4-0 sweep for the Cowgirls in the tournament final.
The Cowgirls will learn their postseason plans on Tuesday with the NCAA Tournament selection show set to begin at 4 p.m on NCAA.com.
