Three Cowgirls Named To All-Region Team

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State softball had three players named to the Division I All-Midwest Region Team, it was announced today.
Sophomore Vanessa Shippy and freshmen Taylor Lynch and Madi Sue Montgomery were named to the All-Midwest Region Second Team.
This is the first time Oklahoma State has had players named to an all-region team since 2014 when it had four named.
Shippy, the 2016 Co-Big 12 Player of the Year, led the Big 12 with her .430 batting average, her 55 runs scored and her .545 on base percentage. She finished tied for third in the Big 12 with her 71 hits, second with her 39 walks and sixth with her 14 doubles
Lynch batted .401 on the season with 39 RBIs, and notably broke the school record for consecutive games with a hit with 23 straight. Montgomery hit .321 on the year, and had the second most RBIs in the Big 12 with 53.
