Babic Earns Final Player of the Week Honor

IRVING, Texas – Oklahoma State sophomore Vladica Babic has been awarded the final Big 12 Player of the Week honor for the 2015-16 season, the league office announced on Wednesday.
The Cowgirls have won the honor in consecutive weeks, as Katarina Adamovic took home the recognition last week.
Babic played an integral role in helping the Cowgirls secure their first Big 12 regular season title since 2001 with four victories, two singles and two doubles.
The sophomore topped Ana Garcia Navas of Kansas State in straight sets (6-4, 6-2) and Smith Hinton of Kansas in straight sets (6-4, 6-4) as well. Babic and her doubles partner Adamovic moved to 20-1 on the season in doubles with a pair of victories over K-State and KU's duos.
The Cowgirls will begin action in the Big 12 Tournament on Friday. Fans can follow all of the weekend's action on the tournament hub page, okstate.com/big12tennis.
