Cowgirl Golf Builds Four-Stroke Lead With 18 To Play At Big 12s

SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Oklahoma State will enter Sunday's final round of the Big 12 Women's Golf Championship at The Dominion Country Club with a four-stroke lead.
Just a day after firing a 288 - the lowest round ever recorded by an OSU squad at a Big 12 Championship - the Cowgirls went even lower with a 2-under 286. Oklahoma State is four strokes ahead of No. 17 Iowa State with 18 holes to play.
OSU has won eight Big 12 titles, which is more than all other current members combined. The Cowgirls last won the conference championship in 2013.
Kenzie Neisen, the reigning Big 12 individual champion, was 2-under on the day, which dropped her to 3-under for the tournament. The sophomore is tied for second place and just a stroke off the lead of TCU's Sabina Pena.
Linnea Johansson and Chih-Min Chen both carded 1-under 71s on the day. Johansson, a junior, is now tied for sixth place at 1-under for the weekend. Chen, a freshman, is tied for 12th at 1-over 145.
For the second straight round every OSU golfer is among the top 20 on the leaderboard. Despite a 75 on Saturday, Emma Broze is still at 16th place thanks to a 1-under opening round. Maddie McCrary has shot 74 in each of the first two rounds and is tied for 20th place heading into Sunday's final round.
